2012 Temporary Newsletter

I could not find anything for 2012.  No Pictures or X-Mas Newsletter document. When and if I do, I will update this document with the original.  But for now I will dictate the year 2012 from the digital pictures I have on my PC from that era.      

We start off on a sad note, Maxwell our Chocolate Lab of 12 years passed away, right around Christmas time.  12 years earlier on 12/16/98 our beloved Chauncey also passed at this same time.  I guess this is when all the Gately dogs tend to go right around Christmas.

We had our usual New Years Eve party and it looks like Brian, Emily’s BF at the time came over for it.  

We went skiing at what looks like Cascade Mountain in middle Wisconsin a few times.

Then it looks like Ann almost died from a Blood Clot, and spent some time in the Hospital recovering from her near death experience.

We then got another dog, our first Vizsla, a male named Cooper.

We went camping a few times, once in the Spring, and once in the Fall at Starve Rock.  We also went up to our Wisconsin Cottage in the summer and winter times.  Went Snowmobiling with the Sno-Scoot in the winter, and Jet Skiing in the summer.  We also went to the Noah’s Ark outdoor water park in the Wisc. Dells in the summer.  While up at our Wisc Cottage our new puppy dog Cooper, destroyed our cottage’s window mini blinds, and dug a ditch in the front of our cottage—BAD PUPPY!!!  I’m so happy Cooper finally grew out of that BAD puppy stage.  Also while up at our Wisc. Cottage we went Canoeing down a river for a day, to the Oshkosh annual Air show for a day, Geocaching, ATVing, Halloween at Lake Arrow head camp ground, and had a Squirt Gun Fight in the lake, which was real high that year. 

Back home, a raccoon moved into our howled out spot in our backyard’s tree and had babies.  We also went
to the Museum of Science and Industry for the day.

On the way to our annual family vacation in Mountain Home Arkansas, our van’s muffler got a hole in it, got real loud for the whole trip and finally melted our gas tank’s plastic lines near Rolla Mo. Luckily we all didn't blow up.  We were stuck in Rolla for 3 days while the Chevy dealer tried to make repairs.  So we Geocached our time away.  The Chevy dealer wanted $3000 to put a new gas tank and parts in, so we had them put it  half ass back together again, and I had the Muffler replaced down the street.  It ran OK which got us safely to Mountain Home.  Once there Mr. Dick got a friend to let me use his tools and pole barn, so I could complete the repairs.  Had to replace an Ignition coil, and drop the gas tank again to make a better repair to the leaky fuel line.  Emily caught another Tommy Turtle pet while in Arkansas, which Cooper did not like at all.

Emily was some kind of Black clad angel for Halloween this year.

In October after Ann had fully recovered from her near death Blood clot experience, she had her final other side foot’s bunions removed, smashed up and repaired with pins and needles.
